Sam Ebohon
Born in 1966 in Lagos, Nigeria, Sam Ebohon is a celebrated contemporary painter whose vibrant, kinetic brushwork has become his signature. His expressive use of colour and texture creates a distinctive visual language that blurs form and motion, revealing the essence of human experience within various social and thematic contexts. Through rhythmic strokes and layered hues, Ebohon explores a contemporary African concept of the sublime — balancing technical mastery with visual poetry.

In 2009, he received the Gold Medal Prize at the Caterina de Medici Painting Competition in Florence, Italy. His works are represented in prominent collections and galleries in Nigeria and abroad.

Ebohon is a member of the Guild of Professional Artists of Nigeria and the Society of Nigerian Artists
