Wande George

Wande George is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, illustration, design, and art direction. A graduate of Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State (1987), he began his career as a studio artist before spending nearly two decades in the advertising industry, where he excelled as a creative art director and won numerous awards for his work with major brands.

Since returning to full-time studio practice in 2010, George has developed a distinct minimalist style that emphasizes design, form, and spatial balance over colour. His paintings translate complex ideas through simplicity and precision, reflecting an ongoing exploration of thought, emotion, and visual clarity. He has held three solo exhibitions, participated in various auctions, and collaborated with artists locally and internationally.
